A rant on bad YouTube changes

I bet thay you have noticed the bad changes that have been making the YouTube experience worse. From removing dislikes, fighting with ad blockers, to introducing YouTube shorts. And that's what we'll talk about today.

The platform has NOT fighted against clickbait and toxic content. So, the already bad recommendation algorithm got even worse. Sometimes you hate a channel, and YouTube just doesn't want you to leave it. And it's unfair that the smaller creators who put actual effort into their videos are not being recommended. Furthermore, if you look into my Mindustry Asthosus Playthrough playlist, you can see - as of right now - that the Detriment Valley video has been watched way more then all the others (Note: It's because of the comments which I'll talk about shortly). And I didn't do like a montage, magically hook up a mic or have an exceptionally good thumbnail. And YouTube tends to recommend more commented videos.
Hypothesis: If your video has mistakes in it and if some folks will point out that in the comments, the video will be more watched.

I know that some shorts are decent, but most of them are pure brainrot. This is caused due to the rise of AI and "clickbait people". Do not watch them. To confirm this, record your mental state after you leave the feed and you should see what these evil companies are doing behind the scenes. They want you to spend more time in their platforms so they can sometimes unfairly earn money. I call this phenomenon as "The Sewers of Youtube", because it closely resembles the reality.

Let's say that your computer is failing to do something. So you search for hope of tutorials. And you find one, apply the steps, and something went wrong, so you dislike the video and/or comment. The video already had millions of dislikes but they were hidden so you had to try the tutorial for yourself. YouTube says that this is done to reduce dislike attacks and "support smaller creators". I do not understand what they were trying to say. Luckily, there's a browser extention called "Return YouTube Dislike" which re-enables that but beware of fake ones!
